They thought of it this way: if you steal two loaves of bread from the bakery, you will be punished, because there is less bread for others. You took more than your share.
But suppose you didn’t work as hard as you could have, and output is two loaves of bread less than it could have been. Again, you stole, because you produced less than your share.
Pretty amazing. Socialists are quite explicit: All your labor are belong to us!

This is one of the best TAiTC episodes! They are all brilliant but something about the simple, logical presentation of the facts makes this eye opening. Even for those who already recognize the perils of socialism. Hopefully folks whose eyes are wide shut due to social popularity will give this a listen.
